Arrest Report - May 31, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jonathan Beadle, 26, 402 Pecan Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 30, 2017 at 11:15 am for criminal trespass. A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of 2 vehicles stuck in a sugarcane field in the Centerville area. The deputy located 2 vehicles stuck in a ditch on private property and spoke with the 2 drivers, one of whom was identified as Beadle. The deputy learned that Beadle was fishing without permission on the property. When beadle attempted to leave the area, he lost control of the vehicle. Beadle then flagged down a passing motorist to assist in removing his vehicle. However, that vehicle got stuck as well. Following the investigation, Beadle was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2017.

 

Waynesha Shaw, 26, 162 Mary Garret Street, Charenton, LA was arrested on May 30, 2017 at 2:31 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and operating a vehicle without a driver’s license. Shaw turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Shaw was released on a $750 bond.

 

Marvin Gabriel, 26, 210 Baptiste Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on May 30, 2017 at 2:34 pm on 3 Baldwin Police Department warrants for armed robbery, criminal trespass, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrants for Gabriel’s arrest. No bail is set.

 

Lorenzo Merritt, 28, 107 Hurst Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 30, 2017 at 7:54 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to honor written promise to appear. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrants for Merritt’s arrest. Merritt was released on a $250 bond.

 

Lorenzo Harris, 31, 5209 Frederick Trailer Park Lot #3, Baldwin, LA was arrested on May 30, 2017 at 9:40 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of aggravated assault, resisting an officer by flight, criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace (fighting). During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrants for Harris’ arrest. No bail is set.

 

Steven Smith, 29, 311 Assumption Street, Napoleonville, LA was arrested on May 31, 2017 at 10:05 pm for turning movements and required signals violation and possession of Schedule I (marijuana). A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle turn onto Duhon Boulevard without signaling the maneuver. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on La Highway 662 and spoke with the driver who was identified as Smith. The deputy smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After receiving consent to search the vehicle, the deputy found a small amount of marijuana and a partially burnt marijuana cigarette. Smith was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2017.
