Notice is hereby given that the St Mary Parish Sheriff's Office will conduct a public sale of property declared surplus on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Office, 500 Main Street, 4th Floor – Courthouse Building, Franklin, LA.
The bidding is open to the public. All persons wishing to participate must register with the Sheriff’s Office and turn in a completed registration form. A list of items available for sale, bid instructions, and registration forms are available online below and may also be obtained between the hours of 9:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. from the Sheriff's Office located at 500 Main Street, 4th Floor Courthouse, Franklin, the Sheriff’s Branch Office located at Railroad Ave. in Morgan City, LA or the Sheriff's Motor Pool located at 10816 Hwy 182, Franklin.
Preview will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, May 1st thru Friday, May 5th at the Sheriff's Motor Pool. You may call 337-828-4113 for assistance.
Completed bid forms must be placed in the sealed envelope provided in the bid pack. Only one bid form per envelope. Please write on the outside of the envelope the item number you are bidding on. Bid registration form and bid envelopes MUST be turned in before 10:00 a.m. on May 9, 2017 at the Sheriff’s Office, 500 Main Street, Fourth Floor - Courthouse Building, Franklin, LA.
Anyone may attend the opening of the bids.
You will be notified on the day of the sale if your bid is successful.
All sales are final with no warranties or refunds. The Sheriff reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to select the bid which serves the best interest of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
After payment is made at the courthouse, a receipt will be issued, and then the items may be picked up at the motor pool between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p. m. DEADLINE for pick up is Friday, May 12, 2017.
